    In newer versions of desktop manager, the BB messenger database is backed up by default..
    Or you could go into the advanced settings, and add it...

    A couple of things...

    First the device switch wizard and then also updating the BIS website to reflect your new IMEI and PIN.

    From my experiences, I had to message each contact again for them to get my new PIN, but they were all there on my list though.

    oh and congrats on the Curve... I know it's been a long wait for Verizon. Although I dislike Verizon, I've actually been wanting Verizon to have it sooner. I have a few friends who have it and I could be using BBM to message them right now.
