I just got a Curve 8330 and want to use the gps but cant figure out how. I read on other threads that verizon disabled gps on there phones, does Tmobile do the same? If so is there an app around this?

    Thanks
edit: my curve is 8320 not 30 thanks for all the help

The t-mobile curve does not have gps. It has wi-fi instead.

Tmobile does not offer the 8330 or support it on their network. Does your device have GPS(8310) which Tmo also doesnt offer ? Or is it the WiFi version (8320).

I heard from a tmobile blackberry tech that it does but needs a device to bring that out.

The DOES have bluetooth. Just buy a GPS receive(ex. Freedom GPS Keychain 2000) then purchase a GPS software(I have Mapquest Navigator, $49.99/year). Now my 8320 Curve has Wi-Fi AND GPS.

There are tons of s/ware threads, search for one. No need to
jack this thread with an unrelated question

Once again the 8330 can never be on TMobile. It is built on the CDMA technology

The T-Mo Curve is the 8320 - GSM and no GPS. To use GPs on the 8320 you have to buy a dongle or a puck.
