mute is on the menu when you're on a call. Third one down, I think.

While the BB is ringing you can press the top button and that mutes the ring.

Thank you, I'll give that a try! Sometimes I just want to mute the caller if there is too much background noise or need to answer someone's question while I'm on the phone and don't want the caller to hear.

Ummm I think possibly this is too simple of a question and its confusing people. The mute button is the button on the TOP of your BlackBerry that has a picture of a speaker with a line through it.

It's the silver button on the top of the phone. Yo press it whilst on a call and it mutes the outgoing mic.

Check the NEWBIES section of CrackBerry. You will get far more from your phone if you actually know how it works.

You can use it as a hold feature. If the person you're talking to says something stupid and you just have to laugh, hit the mute button first and laugh away.

I can't figure out how to get the curve on speaker mode, from regular mode. Mute key puts it to sleep Any ideas?

Mute key puts berry in standby mode
Mute key during call will mute call..
Key with speaker/$ sign switches to speakerphone to regular phone. With my GMC truck it will also switch bluetooth to device to truck
