If you login to Tmobile and click on Setup Internet Email, there is an option in there for auto forwarding your blackberry email. I have blackberry setup to forward to gmail and gmail setup to auto forward to blackberry, that way I can just give my simple gmail address when telling someone, instead of giving the long tmo dot blah blah blah.
Why would one want to do that.....doesn't everyone keep their BB with them at all times????? LOL
Here are some good reasons:
Dead Battery.
Dead or lost Blackberry.
Large synch which will take extended time.
I think most of us use other emails typically but sometimes we slip and use the blackberry email, especially those new to the fold.
Since I am on here - don't trust the OS 5.0 manager when it says it backed up all your files - it doesn't sometimes and it will blow out some of your folders, especially ones you have moved. Best bet is to back up before you update the manager, and make sure you have receipts for all your apps in case you have to reload or update them later. Also make sure you have a current contacts .csv file before you dive in.
Vlingo does not currently work with OS 5.0
