Scratch that, a friend of mine here in starkville had his pearl doing it to and his os hasn't been changed or upgraded.

hi all. a little bit closer. if you take your phone to the store, they more than likely will remove "bb" from your MIP user ID in your device's config file. for example, if your id is [email protected], they will change it to [email protected]. i will admit, this does resolve the problem, however i'm not convinced that this is the actual permanent fix....if it is this means that every single curve and pearl sold would have to be configured. that being said, i have great confidence that csouth and rim will resolve this in a more permanent matter. but until then, this will correct the issue.
