So I feel a bit dumb asking but I have found this site to be so helpful so I'm sure someone can identify wtf is wrong with my cberry. I've been a sidekick user for the last 5 years now and needed a change before I smashed my sk to pieces! So the problem I'm having is that my texts dissapear at random. For instance I will have a bunch of txts from a few days back and then next thing you know it:gone. Atfirst I thought maybe the txt "folder" was full but then I noticed the next time it happened there were only a few txts and they dissapeared as well. The only txt that remains is one that was saved to my sim card lonnng ago. It seems like the only way to fix this problem is by pulling my battery out. Once I restart my cberry, all is good and my txts start showing up again...I just hate pulling my battery out though.
    any ideas?
I checked my settings and I haven't changed them so I have no clue whats causing this new problem...

Installing the media card is a good start, but you do have to make some setting changes to get the full benifit.

Install Media Card - 5+ Mb

When you have a Media Card installed, Open Media / Options.

Set Device Memory Limit to 12 Mb and Reserved Pictures Memory to 0 Mb.

(Tip: v4.5 allows you to set DML to 5 Mb. No observed impact of moderate size video playback.)

These setting free up reserved space when no media card is available.

Plus keep the number of apps down and be sure to fully close them when your done. A morning reboot is helpfull to keep your berry running smooth all day long.

    =8?)

That will help a lot, you have freed up about 8 Mb of memory.

    Another simple, on device technique.

Options / Advanced Options / Applications and delete the sample video. That will give you a couple more Mb.
