i was told that my blackberry would correct misspelled words like my iphone when i text. it dont . do i need to turn something on??

No you need to use the spell check before each text. The phone does not spell check itself

The only time the phone will automatically perform a spellcheck is when you send an email, and you have to enable it in options first.

To spell check, just press Menu and select check Spelling

Mine corrects some words in texts without using spell check. Usually only when I mess up the order of I and E though, stupid spelling rules with exceptions!!
