So I feel pretty dumb. I have no clue what I did but I can only accept and send text messages from people who have the same area code as I do. I really don't want to have to call AT&T customer service.

What do i do? Please help!

a silly thought..but yuo never know:

are you entering the full 10 digit phone number when you send a text? do you have it stored in your contacts that way?

That is exactly what I was thinking Chrisy. You might want to try a simple battery pull to. They work wonders sometimes

I have all the area codes in the phone (all 10 digits) for all the numbers. I tried pulling the battery and was on the phone for like 20 minutes with ATT trying to fix it. Nothing

Yup. I'm on the edge network. I can receive calls and go on the internet. just can't get texts for some reason

Maybe it's best to call AT&T.

It sounds like it might be a network issue. In that case, only CS will be able to help you.
