Default Tethering on Sprint

I called Sprint this week to see if I would get any extra charges for tethering my phone to my laptop, I was told because I have the unlimited data package that there would not be charges. Here is the problem that I am having, I want to tether and I know that you can tether it just won't work. I plug my phone into my computer and hit mobile internet and it says:
"failed to start mobile internet. the remote computer did not start. Please check your profile settings and make sure your radio is turned on. This service might also have been turned off by your wireless service provider or your administrator."

How can this be done?

That won't work with Sprint. You have to use a 3rd party program like MobiShark or Tether.

Tether is my choice. I've used it and love it.

Tether is good, but I wouldn't have bought a copy (won one).
I've heard good things about Fixmo connect.
And the free version of Tether bridge works alright.
