    Anyone know why they did?

    I just upgraded from a black pearl to a gold curve which should be arriving tomorrow. Called several stores and they were all sold out. When I finally found a store with them in stock, they had 7. When I went to the store later on that day to buy it, they had already sold 3!

    I believe the Gold was a limited time color. I don't think it has anything to do with the operation of the phone.

    I went for the gold, since it's an olympic year. Actually I was going tor the titanium until they dropped the gold price $50. With my black rocketfish skin on you can barely see any gold anyway.

    I think its cool that TMo is still selling the 8700! But it probably shouldn't be the same price as an 8100 Pearl. I wonder when that will be retired? Surely there can't be many people purchasing it. They're probably just trying to get rid of their inventory maybe
