Have you checked the security settings of the applications...this often happens when the settings for the applications are not set to "allow"...the program will just sit there and stall...to check you can go to Options>advanced Options>Applications....Highlight the app press your menu key and choose "edit permissions" ensure they are all set to "allow".

Do what Bla1ze suggests. Also, if you haven't already, you need to set the apn. Go to Options >Advanced Options >TCP and enter the following:

    apn: wap.voicestream.com
    username
    password

    leave username and password blank.

yeah it sounds like its just a normal plan.... but the BB's use special plans.

A few weeks ago there was a guy having the same issue to an extent and he didnt have the BB plan.

    5.99 plan won't do it.

You need the Blackberry unlimited data (BIS) add-on. Call TMobile and have them remove the 5.99 plan and add the Blackberry Add-on for Personal email/data.

Do you have a browser? Go to Options >Advanced Options >Host Routing Table. Hit menu key and select Register Now.

Also, it could take up to 24 hours for the data plan to completely activate.

What OS version on the 8310? You need a standard BB Browser, too.

It is possible that you won't get an Internet Browser from TMo on the 8310. There's been issues with unlocked devices on other carriers and receiving the proper browser service books.

But with the proper apn settings Opera should work fine.

Now that you have the BIS account setup log in to T-mobiles BIS site and resend all the service books. That may cure a lot of things.

As I posted above, the data plan may not have fully activated yet. On the TMobile website change your device to the blackberry. You should end up with a place to setup internet email on the TMobile site.

4.2.2.146 sounds like an old firmware version. The 8310 came from AT&T with 4.2.2.170. 4.2.2.184 is the latest that's out there.

You have to have the $19.99 Plan for the BB.

I had the $5.99 plan for my razor and it accessed the internet fine, but it will not work for the BB.
