AT&T CURVE 8320 WiFi issues

Ok, When I had my Android without a data plan I was able to connect to the WiFi and connect to facebook through my phone .. Same when I had my iPhone.. Now I have this 8320 with Wifi . I cant for the life of me figure out why I cant browse the web using Opera Mini or even connect to facebook whit the free app from BB . Is this even poss? If not why even give the option .. Other then not to eat your data usage ...

So question is can I use my wifi and browse the net or use facebook ....EDIT*** Without a data plan ... All I currently have is unlimited talk/txt ..

You need to have an active BlackBerry Data Plan.

Sorry but that is false. I'm using Opera mini on a pay as you go plan without data. Using it right now. Idk how so this issue needs to be resolved. I'm not getting charged for data either. Just one day it worked. So if answer is around. Please post

None of the native apps from RIM, such as Facebook, BlackBerry Messenger, or Twitter will work without a BlackBerry data plan.

You might be able to go to m.facebook.com using Opera while connected to Wi-Fi, but the apps require a BIS plan.

Thanks for clearing that up . I noticed the other day I could only use FB through Opera ...
