I've had my Curve 8330 for four months now and I've still yet to figure out how to place a call on hold to switch to an incoming call without disconnecting the call I'm on. Every time a call comes in when I'm on the phone, I have the option of picking up the new call, if I do that, when I go to switch back to the original call, there's no option, it's disconnected.

Any ideas for solving this problem? Thanks!

First make sure call waiting is enabled:
call button > menu > options > call waiting.

Normally if you press the call button it will switch to the
incoming call, press it again and it will switch back.

Hmm, I have it enabled and it doesn't seem to be working. It always disconnects the original call. Maybe I should put a call in to Verizon?

Yeah, If none of the suggestions helped and your device is
configured correctly, I think that is a good idea.

But post back what fixes it so that this thread helps someone
    else down the line.

You can also press the trackball and then you will get options like.

Answer incoming call - drop current.
Answer incoming call - keep current on hold.

Funny I dont have the call waiting option in my menu on my 8330. But my call waiting works so I guess I dont really have to worry.
