Hey guys, my 8310 all of the sudden has horrible reception - even going into SOS mode when I'm at -86db. I used to NEVER see SOS, except in one of my classrooms, but now even in my dorm room I have 1 bar, 2 tops.
My first thought was SIM card, but this SIM card isn't that old, and its my 3rd in a year. Should I grab a new one anyway?

Usually when it goes to SOS that means that for whatever reason it is picking up another providers network and you can only make emergancy calls. You can try to remove the battery and place back in to see if that gets rid of the problem.
It could be the phone itself....its hard to think that it would be the sim cards all the time. Maybe try to do a master reset. Make sure to back up your information with desktop manager.
