This is a very dumb question but I'm getting fed up with trying to fool with it! I've only had my black berry a few months and I wanted to update it to 4.5. I've gone to blackberry's website and it says "click the update button below" and there is no button. It is not on an enterprise server. SO my question is....how do I update my blackberry to software version 4.5?!?!?!?!?

Look at the Sticky's at the top of this forum:

Find the one that says Newest OS for your device model and click on it and follow the instructions listed.

Did you download the BB Desktop Manager on your PC? Once you do, just connect your phone to the PC with the USB cable and click update. It should find the 4.5 update version.

Use the link Crucial provided, the guide there will have a links and instructions for everything you will need to upgrade your OS. The most important preparation you need to do is download, save and then install a copy of desktop manager (I use 4.6 no media manager) and the proper OS for your device. When downloading, always choose the save option and save the file to a place you can find it like your desktop. Another good app to have installed on your PC is crackmem, you can use it to upgrade your device as long as you have a newer version of desktop manager and the OS for your device. Install it and read the help file for instructions.

    Good Luck!
