Have you run the device wizard? It should prompt you to delete unneeded languages - those take up a lot of memory.

Also, go into Options > Advanced Options > Applications, and delete programs you don't need. For instance, I deleted Password Keeper, Memo etc. This will help free up some memory.

    Options > advanced > applications

Delete all unused apps in there. If you're in doubt about certain apps, ask here, somebody will know

oh boy it looks like i might have to look at that treo again. there's only a small amount of memory on these things. and now not been able to run apps from a memory card is kind of pointless to me..

There is plenty of memory if you know how to allocate it. But this memory leak is a know problem and RIM is working an a solution. Best bet is to reboot your device every couple of days.

64MB device built in and up to 8GB on a storage card.

Granted RIM needs to fix the memory leak problem.

If you hit the BB key (left of your trackball) you should see an icon somewhere on your screen that looks like a BB with a gear attached - that's the device wizard.

Correct, there is no need to have media stored to the device or email attachments as well.

If you get rid of the sample videos, people watch only once, and sample pictures.

I have 12MB free I have 4 games, Sprint TV, Sprint Music, Sprint Navigation, Yahoo Go, Google Talk, AOL Msgr, Yahoo Msgr, Viigo
    471 contacts
    339 appointments
    492 emails
    1482 SMS
    263 Call logs.

I think that is plenty, not to mention the stuff on my media card.

But that is just my thought.
