Yes it is, as long as you remove the vendor.xml file in the Apploader folder before loading it on your BB.
The Apploader folder is found at:
C:\Programs\Common Files\Research In Motion\Apploader
After you delete the vendor.xml file, connect your BB to the computer, then double-click on the loader(.exe) file, it has a phone icon next to it, to launch the loader.
IMO, 4.5.0.131 is the best non-hybrid OS for Verizon 8330 owners at the moment.
Just loaded it onto my bb, went very smoothly! What are the changes on this OS? Why do you think its the best one?
No major changes from .77, just a little better memory management/free memory. The biggest thing is no speakerblast when you answer the call, where the speakerphone is on for a second or two when you pick up a call. The .138 and .160 OSs hve other problems that make them bad choices for Verizon users.
I had that version and HATED it! Squealing during calls and other glitchy stuff
Yep, that's the major problem with .160 with Verizon users. Both .160 and .138 also have unstable RF performance where it doesn't hold the 1XEV signal even in strong signal areas, also with Verizon customers.
