My sister just called asking me which phone to upgrade to on Sprint. I personally love my Tour, but thought I'd ask the board. Is there any reason to go for one over the other?
Simple, the Tour is going to give you more capabilities as the 5.0 OSes become the standard. You're not going to have much flexibility on the 8330 going forward. Not enough RAM, and when things like flash player comes along, she won't have the power to run it. Easy choice. I was a lil ticked when I saw Nebraska Furniture Mart was running the Tour for $49 on new or upgrade through yesterday. My wife would've loved it.

I have an 8330 and an 8530. The tour I tried but I just couldn't get around the keyboard. If anything why not upgrade to a newer curve? And the screen res on the 8530 and 8330 are not bad at all. I don't know why there is so much fuss about it.

Tour. Handsdown. Its a faster phone. The curve is now more than 2 years old -- its an olddddd phone. If you can wait, I'd wait a couple months for the Tour 2.
I had nothing but problems with the Tour. I would have loved to have it work but it just wouldn't hold a connection for me. I had so many dropped calls no matter where I was. I had the clock pop in and out at random times, I couldn't get it to connect to the internet, and many other issues. I returned the phone 2 times for replacement Tours and problems remained. I ended up going with the Curve and have not had any issues... which is worth its weight in gold. The Curve gives me everything I need.
