Have had my Curve in North Cal for six months. Am now reading reviews that this phone is running 3G.

    Is that correct ?

    Thanks !

Yes. It is. Turn your phone over and look at the plate just below the battery cover. It should read "Qualcomm 3G CDMA" on it.

Only if you have coverage.... look at your signal meter, if it says 1XEV, then you have 3G service, if it says 1x only, then it is not 3G data you are receiving

The Sprint Curve works on EV-DO which is a 3G standard

Wow I was never really sure about whether or not the 8330 ran on 3G. But doesn't 3G enable you to talk and surf at the same time?
