No, only when I dial a number that is not already stored.
I found a work-around:
have a 8320, and I turned off the keytone in options. However, when I press a number (0-9) to dial, it makes the sounds. I dont like my phone to make noises when Im using it so is there any ways to turn that off?
Thanks
You can turn off dial tone. Make sure all of your numbers are stored and dial from address book. If you HAVE to enter a number write it in Memo pad and click it.

BlackBerry OS 4.2.x has an unwanted key-press-dial-sound if you click numbers 0-9 but if you have BlackBerry OS 4.5.x installed and the Profile set to Silent, then it does not have that annoying sound.
1. No, you CAN turn this function off. Options>Screen/Keyboard>Keytone: Off
2. No, unfortunately you cannot.
your no.1 solution is for when you're pressing the menu button, back button etc. not when you're dialling in a number for a phone call. im not complaining though, i wanted to get rid of that annoying beep, so cheers!!
