hello everyone, i have a blackberry curve 8310, and the other day out of the blue all my sms text massages were gone, i had about 1200+ and they dissapeared, my call history was also gone, can someone help me out?

what can cause this? and since i have a backup of the phone a few weeks before, can i put those messages back on the phone?

Your phone is telling you that it is running low on memory. You can restore them but if your phone is too low they will get deleted again. And what is your file free under options-status

This maybe the wrong place to ask this, but hey, learn by mistake. Why would one keep 1200+ text messages on their phone in the first place?

Yes your memory is low. Go to options and status. What is your free memory. Anything below 12 000 000 can cause problems.

You might want to look at http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-...-memory-34633/ to help free up some memory.

right now it says file free: 17691484 bytes, thats after my texts are gone, how would i go about restoring them?

If you restore them it will just bottom out again. You are @ 17 which is okay but nothing special, adding them again without at least taking the time to try and free some memory (vnd link above) it will just happen again. Honestly even freeing up the memory might not do much with that many texts unless you care to delete your apps and themes........ Best of luck with the restore...

Plug your phone up to ur pc and run the restore function on dm.. But like I said before if your memory is that low, they will just get deleted again...
