I have a Blackberry Curve 8330 and I noticed on some Blackberry's that after you fill up the 160 characters you can continue on until you fill 6 pages but you cant do that on my Blackberry, why?

I believe it's carrier related, VZW has a 160 limit.

160 is the max limit for a SMS on any carrier. the difference is that on a BB it shows you when you're at limit. other phones will just manually break up long messages into shorter messages.

Search online & find a program called beyond 160. Its a great app that when u reach 160 limit u simply it bb button chose beyond 160 & it opens ur text in that app & u type as much as u want & it automatically sends like (1/3)(2/3)(3/3) etc. I think it is 6.99 now but well worth it.

SMS-Short Messages Service- means it supposed to be short otherwise call them or send them a txt via MMS!
