What is your file free? If it is too low that could be causing the lag.

You didn't answer the questions correctly. Could you please provide the numbers you see after File Free?

Its 46365922 bytes and I don't think its memory related as it randomly happened after I changd her contact name and everyone else is good

Yeah that is a good file free amount. Maybe sunkast has a better answer because that was my only guess.

Mine does the same thing. I have plenty of memoury, tried battery pulls, etc. However, for some reason, when I press send, it does lag for a few moments. It is only with certain recipients, so all I can guess is its a network issue of some sort.

Well, I have issues with a few people. They are on alltel and tmo. So, who knows what it is. To me, its a minor nuisance. I can deal with it, as the pros far outweigh the cons of this phone.

I would think so - I never had this issue on my pearl. Now, my MMS used to lag something awful, however I resized my default pic settings, and this fixed it. Can't figure out this sms thing, though..

i have this same problem with only the people i text REALLY often.

Even if you clean out your messages, it still saves a history of the messages to that person.

    This seemed to help me.

    From your message list,
    1. select a message from the person your having the problem with
    2. Click your menu button and select "Search Sender"
    3. Delete all or most using the Delete Prior function

I had a lot of memory free (40000000+) before i tried this but this seemed to help speed up the delay when you hit send .

I was having the same problem and from my IT troubleshooting days I knew that because the slowness was isolated to the one person that I text more than anyone it was something to do with the number of messages that I sent.

Clearing the entire history of messages sent to that person fixed this. I had deleted messages from the SMS Outbox folder, but there was also a copy saved in some other folder.

Thank you thank you thank you!
