Just got a verizon blackberry curve 8330 off ebay, used a 9530 since december.I activated the phone today and under my mobile network it says Alltel, but I use verizon.

    I get calls/texts, x1 and ev

Internet doesnt work, and I'm not getting emails, and no browser (tried pull and the routing host)

Using OS .77 right now, plan on upgrading when I get all this settled.

    Anybody have a solution?

    Try a *228 Option 1.

    Then try to a register now - options>advanced options>host routing table>menu>register now

Do you get a failed programming message with *228?

No it says it was successful, but still says alltel

My storm used to say verizon, so I am not sure why it different.

    This thread might help:

    http://forums.crackberry.com/f135/ho...alltel-118654/

You can use your Storm to get the Verizon info. for programming your Curve.

    To first link -

I think I understand that one but Storm seems to have same numbers except Primary HA address and second HA address

    Storm - 255.255.255.255
    Curve 0.0.0.0

As to the other link, it just kind of ends without a solution, the @vzw3g.com is already on mine.

Anything else I can try at home tonight, or wait and go to the vzw store tomorrow

Is the phone actually have Verizon on it or Alltel? Since they are merging and such!
I honestly would just try calling. I personally hate calling any kind of help line but sometimes it needs to be done. Good Luck!
