If I get a newer blackberry phone can I just put in my current sim card and it will work or must I pay sprint a programming fee?

Sprint operates on CDMA, which does not use Sims cards. They do offer some world phones, that have Sim card capability. This feature does not work in the US on Sprint's CDMA network. I hope this answered your question. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Yeah, if your going from a BlackBerry that requires a sim card (T-Mobile or AT&T), and are going to Sprint then backup all your stuff through Desktop Manager. Sprint, well CDMA carriers, don't use SIM cards like archangel stated above.
