When my screen is black and I hit the trackball there is a 3-5 second lag before the screen lights up. I just recently upgraded so I don't know if that makes a difference, but it used to light up right away. I have cleaned my memory, event log, and browser cache. Is this something that can be corrected, or do I just have to live with it?

Try a battery reset - with the device powered on, pull the battery for 10 -15 seconds

Update: My bb has been doing this screen lag thing for like an hour, but now all the sudden is fine. What the heck?

    Ok well new update:
It is doing it again after the reset and battery pull. It's so weird. I have had my curve for almost 2 years and numerous update, and this has never happened before!

It is a known problem in certain OS builds. Instead of clicking the trackball to wake up your Berry, press the Enter key or Space Bar.

Yeah, it's just a bug. Totally just use the space bar.
