    If you use the same folder for txt's as you do for email's go all the way to the top and hit menu>mark all prior read
    If that dosent work I would do a battery pull and see.

    yeah i tried multiple battery pulls, didnt work. it is a new text icon. i dont have e-mail or anything set up so it should be only text.
