    What is a optical trackball? I havent heard anything abut that.

    Won't happen. The hardware for sensing the trackball movement is on the main circuit board. The only thing in the trackball assembly is the ball and magnets.

    It could happen for a new Blackberry, but definitely not for the Curve series.

    Hmm. Maybe in the future we will have this. ( optical track ball, meaning the ball doesn't move but it detects the movement of your finger over it, like a touch screen)

    That could take a while if the touch screen still isn't perfected. Its a really great idea. Cnn.cn would have to shut down though lol

    I guess for now I'd settle for a ball that would stay clean! There's just no amount of hand washing that keeps the sucker clean.

    That could be real nice. Would save the wear and tear on the trackball.
