Is there a way to change the settings so that a text notification is not sent when there is a missed call. The missed call already shows in the call log and I don't want the additional text. If there isn't a way is there a way to only see your text messages?
I just discovered this feature as well even after using BlackBerry's for quite a while. It has relieved alot of frustration thinking I have actual messages and it just ends up being a voice mail or a missed call. Very useful feature.
thank you...what a relief. Is there anything that will do the same for a voicemail message or is that the only way you are notified when you get a voicemail. I'd rather just get a sound notification without the text message
Those messages are not actual text messages, and you are not charged for them. They are voice mail notifications from the carrier to your phone, and cannot be disabled.
They are a pain most of the time, but they have let me know about a call I missed when I was in a bad area and the call went straight to VM with out ringing my phone.
