Rogers releases v4.5.0.81 for 8310/8320
Just a heads up that Rogers has released app version 4.5.0.81 release 108 for Curves 8310/8320. There is already a sticky in the 83xx forums by another carrier but just a heads up for for Rogers customers.

Checked over the Rogers site and can't find any update info for the 8310 Curve. I have tried the RIM site and lost everything 3 times trying to upgrade. Almost near the end and keep getting fatal error. Tired of redoing everything. Will wait till Rogers has it on their site to try.

Go to blackberry.com/upgrades in Internet Explorer and do it from there. Very easy! I knew when I did it that they supported it cause it went flawlessly!

This seems to be the same exact update that's on the Blackberry upgrade site, with the addition of vendor.xml file. Thanks for the post though.

If you are already .81 then there is no need to download the .81 from Rogers. Its the same OS. Thats why its not recognizing the upgrade. Because its not a upgrade.

oh okay kool, but the one im running tends to freeze a bit and has some memory leaks here and there; thats why im wondering if the official one from rogers solved those problems.

Rogers has not yet released their 8320, but the software is in place for upgrades. Sweet!

I installed the new OS this evening after downloading it from Blackberry. Com. This was my first attempt to do an OS upgrade, I am pleased to say that it worked seemlessly.

Im using a 8gb with .81 and its working good so far.
What you can try to do is format the card on your computer, than reformat once its in your device.
Formating on you computer first seems to stop the rebooting. I ran into this issue with two of my friends curves and this is how I fixed it. - 10-14-2008, 11:18 AM #21
If the above doesn't work then backup your device and do a clean wipe without the sdcard in your device and reinstall the OS, once again without the sdcard in the device.
This definitely should solve it. You can reformat the card once the OS is reinstalled. - 10-14-2008, 04:54 PM #23
