Ok so I'm a recent iphone convert...previously from the church of Nokia.

So I'm good with phones, just not versed on my new BB curve 8310.

    I've got a 2gb memory card.
It has ringtones on it, they are right between 800-1000kb.
They are all in MPEG-4 format.
I can go to media and play them just fine.

    BUT

When the phone rings or the alarm goes off or I get a SMS message...all I get it default stuff.

    ANY ADVICE?????

    Thanks for the help.

Oh 1 other thing, when I setup my profiles and I set it to Vibrate+Tone and I set the Vibrations to 3...that means that if shakes 3 times BEFORE it ever makes a sound right?

What do you mean by MPEG-4? MPEG-4 is a group of audio/video specifications. Do you mean .m4a or .aac format? It actually doesn't matter because those are still not supported ringtone formats. They will play fine in the media player, but are not supported for ringtones.

IIRC, the supported ringtone formats are .amr, .wav, .mp3, .mmf, and .qcp. I think your best bet would be to just convert them to .mp3. There are plenty of software options out there for file conversions. Good luck!

And yes, when you set it to Vibe+Tone, it vibrates THEN rings.

    Semper Fi,
