Unhappy returned the curve

I returned the curve to sprint 7 hours after getting it. What a disappointment. I have been waiting for it to come out for 5 weeks. I got my first bb 2 weeks ago, it was the 8830. It was GREAT. I am a heavy phone user and I had no dropped calls at all. Reception was great. I was told by customer service that reception would be the same on the curve. Well, dropped calls. Couldnt connect to sprint tv, had trouble with email and major problem with signal strength. 4 hours invested with sprint cs and 2 hours at store. I got my 8830 back from the store until they get more 8330 's in.

anyone else have these problems with sprint curve

What should I do

Sorry that your curve experience wasn't as great as everyone else. The Curve is great on other networks, you may want to switch if you are out of contract.

That's what I was thinking. Maybe a different unit would work better.

I'm not with Sprint. I can tell you that I have a complete love affair with my Curve. I can't imagine using any other phone on the market today.

I only have one "issue" with my Curve: Native memory capacity. Other than that, this phone is one of the finest products ever made.

curves, in my opinion, should replace the bold because the bold just is so dang ugly!

I have had my sprint curve for about 4 days now. A little problem with certifications, but ended up getting it fixed through bb sprint support. I must say the 8830 is a more solid desinged phone, but the average user wants more and that is where the curve comes in. Camera, sprint tv, better screen....i like my curve better than the 8830, but the 8830 is still a great choice!

Got my Curve on Sunday and I'm absolutely addicted. I never had a smartphone before and now I'll never go back.

I switched from the touch a couple of days ago. I use my phones for everything, expecially media. I am totally crushed that after all these years there still isnt an easy way to switch my purchased music (from Rhapsody and Urge) to the bb. Im thinking of heading back to WM.

Not happy about it either, as I really like the curve.

Yeah - my 8330 on Sprint is doing fine, no dropped calls. Have had a few issues with certificates too ; and initially had some difficulty getting Opera working, but otherwise, smooth sailing. Loving the BB thing - major upgrade from the pain of windows mobile

Last edited by MattBerry08; 05-14-2008 at 11:30 PM. Reason: fixed opera!
