I got a curve 8300 which is what I used before. I recently got an Upgrade from ATT and I want to sell the 8300. I want to make the phone like brand new (software wise), restoring it to like when I first got it. How can I go about this? Is a hand held wipe good enough? Or is there another way of getting the phone back to when I first got it exactly?

    Thanks guys.

As far as software you'll have to download and install whatever OS was on it when you got it.

You can wipe it back to factory out of the box settings.

Go to Options/Security Options/General Settings press menu and select Wipe Handheld.

If you never upgraded the OS then all you need to do is wipe.

I did upgrade the OS on it cause when I first got it, it had v4.2, OS v4.5 still wasn't available from ATT for it. I did the Wipe Hand held. Could I just leave it like that, or is it better to reinstall the v4.5 OS? I mean, the person who buys it can do that themselves if they want, rite? I was just concerned about any of my personal data remaining on the phone.

There shouldn't be any personal data left after a wipe.

Go to your carriers BIS site and delete the email accounts associated with the device.

I would just leave 4.5 on it.

If you want to be absolutely sure you could wipe with JL Cmder and reload 4.2 or 4.5.

But you should be OK with what you've already done.

A wipe will reset everything to out of the box settings.
