Wanted to replace my Window Lens on my BB which is all scratched up.

Found this online (sorry, can't post URL's yet so pls replace the xxx with www!):

    xxx.cellulardr.com/BB8310LensBlack.htm

Does anyone know how to remove the existing plate? Also, is there a place online that is a Canadian shop?

    Thanks!

You dont have to remove the faceplate to replace the lens.

Pop your fingernail or something in where the speaker is up top, gently pull, comes right out, apploy adhesive to the one you have, and pop back in.

I get mine from Cellular Accessories - 3G, Microsoft, Apple, Alcatel, Sony, Dopod/O2, Accessories Store, NEC, Acer, Bla

or these guys are in the US, and Ive used them a few times...

Thanks Rachel! Ended up picking up the whole casing and lens for US$12 with free shipping to Canada. Looks like I'll need some instructions to replace it!!

It's not that hard to replace the casing, you'll just need a couple tools and a screwdriver. Then it's pretty much smooth sailing after that.

You'll need a t 5, if you just want to replace the housing, if you want to take off the rails too (you dont have to to replace the housing, but might come in handy if you have big fingers) you'll want a t 6

Umm, I think you can get it at Home Depot. The other one it's a case opening tool if your gonna take it all apart.

You dont "need" the housing tool. IMO. Never used one.

This is true, some people just recommend it. They say it makes it easier.

Thanks, great video. Did mine yest (replaced the whole front casing). Unfortunately the left side is still pops up a bit (just couldnt' get it to pop in correctly?).

Is there a video for just replacing the window lens?

Also, the window lens came with a 3M protector but no idea how to put it on as both sides seem to be sticky. What the heck!?
