I will be moving to another carrier soon and I want to sell an AT&T unlocked 8310. My question is should I get the pin released by AT&T? I assume that this means that the phone could be used on another carrier, an advantage for the buyer. But (and here is my dumb question) if I do this now will I still be able to use my phone until I port my number to another carrier? Thanks in advance for the help.
The pin stays with the phone. Also if your porting your # to another carrier your current phone may work for an hour depending how fast the port goes through.
