I just got my Verizon 8330 today and I am able to record video with it. When I was comparing the pearl to the curve the information I found said that you were not able to record video with the curve. That was one of the reasons I was going to go with the pearl. I'm really glad that I chose the curve now!!

Certain operating systems on the curve you cant get video, you will see all over people talking about upgrading, mainly for that feature..

You are be able to record video on the 8330 right out of the box. That was not the case with the other models.

Thanks, I have to admit that trying to figure out which model of BB to get along with which carrier to use was frustrating as heck!

In order to record on ypur curve you have to upgrade to 4.5

Unless I'm looking at the wrong information my phone is running
v4.3.0.127 and I can definately record videos.

Only the 8330 had 4.3. None of the others did.

4.3 and above can record video.

I had to buy a memory card before I could start recording videos.
