I have my Gmail account set up on my Blackberry 8330. I understand that read/unread status doesn't synchronize between the device and my online account, which is OK... but isn't deleting messages supposed to synchronize both ways? I always press "delete in mailbox & device" when I delete from my phone, I have tried emptying my Gmail trash, and hitting "reconcile now" on my phone, but I still end up having to delete my messages twice. What gives?
i think when you hit delete on mailbox and handheld, it just moves the email from your gmail inbox to your gmail trash. you still have to empty your trash on your gmail.
oh and also i dont think you can delete phone from gmail by reconcile now.

there are options that you can change. if it isnt prompting you as to how you woudl like the message deleted (device, or device & mailbox) then its probly only removing it from the device.
