Does nothing to your SMS.. its mostly used on BES.. I never have touched it, no need too on BIS IMO.

It is like hitting the Send/Receive button in Outlook/Outlook Express. Just polls the server for new email.

I read a post on another forum by a person who constantly did this (he had BIS) until one day he realized it wasn't doing anything lol Just thought I'd throw that in

I can say that it may not have done anything for him, but if i am waiting for an email i can hit it and it comes right in???

Not necessary, Blackberry uses PUSH email, meaning, instead of logging into your email, it is saved and immediately forwarded. reconcile now is only used for some BES users. (Corporate)
