I am on a 1.5 megabyte & unlimited email data plan with rogers. I just downloaded a couple of applications on my curve using the browser (ESPN and Sudoku). I was wondering if this alone would have eaten up my data plus more.

On a limited plan, I would avoid OTA installs and use DesktopManager to do that!

Depending on the size of the apps, it can use a good chunk of data. If the app is 400Kb, then that is the about of data you use... with roughly 1,500 kB being your cap!

Yeah, that would be in bytes

Meaning that is about 341.5KB

Yeah, no prob man!! I recommend installing through DM and not using sites besides mobile oriented sites and WAP sites. This will really help you since you are on a limited data plan!

OP didn't mention, if he goes over that 1.5 Mb cap, he will be paying $10 Mb for data.... ouch!

Have you considered upgrading to the $30/6 Gb plan?
