I am presently using a Pearl 8130 and I am having issues with the trackball. I have the opportunity to upgrade to a Curve and wanted to know if anyone is having any trackball issues with their Curve?

Not me, VZW had a known issue with pearl trackballs, we got a lot returned for it. So far, no issues with the Curve trackball.

I have had issues with the track ball getting stuck and not working. After playing with it starts working. Not sure if it is getting dirty or what. Nothing major and nothing to get it replaced.

Thanks for all the responses. My pearl is only 2 months old and already trackball problems. I guess I will upgrade to the Curve.

nothing major here, I had a peral before and had it replaced 3 times due to faulty trackball. Got a curve and no problems at all, i'm on t-mobile

just the occasion hair stuck in the trackball but that's easily solved by pushing the trackball down hard haha

The only time I had an issue was when it was pretty dirty. Popped it out and soaked it according to someones directions here (in salt and vinegar IIRC) cleaned with alcohol and its good as new.

I had an issue with metal shavings screwing up my trackball due to it being magnitized. But I just took it out cleaned it off and its like new

I have an 8330 and have had ZERO problems - this is a GREAT phone, AND, I've dropped it many times. (Not that I recommend dropping it!) :-)
