i am finally backing up my curve, because i am having to swap it out in a few days. when i make the backup file, if i try to open it, it is in a format that i cant open. does that matter or no? just curious. sorry if it is a stupid question! i am a bit limited on time, so i couldnt take the time to research this a bit more before i asked!

You restore backups with desktop manager. It will recognize it

Is there a way to back up your personal preference settings, such as ring tones settings, caller rings ect.?
