Okay, so I'm on T-mobile with a Curve 8320, and just had kind of a general question. I've had the phone for several months, but have never been able to use AIM on it (I don't have a data plan, but I do have Wifi). Is there something specific about the blackberrys that don't allow this? I had a Razor, another Motorola, and a Nokia all on the same T-mobile plan in the past (never had data) that allowed me to use AIM (it charged as text messages). Is there something I'm doing wrong, or is it the blackberries just disable it unless you have a data plan? Or is there some work around?

    Thanks!

All IM apps on the BlackBerry require data to make the connection.

Your gonna have to call tmo and ask them to put the blackberry feature enabler on your account. You will be able to use aim when you are in range of wifi. Not sure if you can use it over the cell network without a data plan. Other phones use txt for aim but a blackberry is a different beast alltogether
