I'm sorry nb, I have several things going on. Once you have both DM and the new OS for your device installed on your computer, follow this link and get a copy of crackmem installed on your computer, read the help files and they should guide you through the OS install process.

thanks exelant! i just downloaded the DM 4.6 and am now going to go and download the new OS and ill just wait until the morning to continue. that way i can make sure everything is going right. i'm in no rush really...i'm more concerned about getting it right then getting it done right away

i have a problem...i downloaded the 4.6 handheld software and installed it to my computer...but now when i plugged in my curve when the DM came up to search for updates...the screen telling me there are updates didn't come up. and i manually went to look at that page and there is no 4.6 there...what am i doing wrong?

You shouldn't be downloading the handheld software 4.6 that is for the bold. You should be looking for 4.5.0.81

No you can use DM4.6 with OS 4.5. Make sure you delete the vendor.xml file.
