Profiles Explained

I'm a complete Newbie, so please excuse such a simple question. What are the basic difference between the normal profile and the phone only profile. I was hoping to easily suspend messaging with a change of profile. Unfortunately, my company e-mail gets some spam and at night I would like to suspend e-mail simply but still have phone operation. Thoughts? Thank you in advance.

shut off your data services and no email will come in while you sleep...just go to the icon that looks like a cell tower and disable the ''Mobile Network''...profiles only help you with ringtnes,loudness, etc..etc.

You can also do Folder redirection in Desktop Manager under Email Settings, Advanced. That helps cutting down on un wanted email coming to your BB. Phone Only Profile mutes all Email Alerts.
