    Hello All,

I am a newbie here, and was wondering why on my new rogers 8330 I can't view emails in html. I had an 8320 and it worked fine with viewing emails in html. I just can't seem to figure it out. Do I need an update or something to make it work. Some help would be great.

Yes go to options/about and see what OS you have. You need 4.5 to have html email. Your 8320 probably had 4.5 on it.

Are you sure you have an 8330? Rogers is a gsm network and the 8330 is a cdma device. Also the OS version you gave is a gsm OS at least I believe it to be since I have that version running on one of my devices right now.
Once you open one of your email folders then hit menu key and select options/email settings, there is nothing about enabling HTML email?

and I went and checked the email settings and no there is no place for enabling html in emails. I checked there first because of my 8310.

I'm having the same problem with my wife's Sprint 8330. Mine works fine but hers has no option to use html email. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Both phones are using OS 4.5.0.131.

Ok this is a stab in the dark but worth a shot. On her device go to the manage internet email or personal email setup. Which ever one its called on your device. Follow the prompts until you see service books. Resend the service books. Once the service books have been sent successfully pull the battery out of the device while it is on. Leave it out for thirty seconds then put it back in and see if you get the option for HTML email now.

Did a little searching in the forum and found the same advice. I resent the service books and I sent her a message to pull the battery in a few minutes. Hopefully this will solve the issue. Thanks for the fast replies!!
