Any idea why my movies will play for 3 seconds, stop, and start?

Not every movie I have put on the disk does this. I know the files are good. They play on my PC and Sony Walkman with no problems.

Are there other media players worth trying?

What version of the software are you using. If you upgrade to 4.5 this may solve that problem..i'm having no issues with movies on my 8330.

Could it be a bitrate issue? I know on my palm T5 I had similar problems with video hangups or drop frames if I was just over what I would call the upper limit on bitrates.

it might be how the video/movie was encoded. it might not be done properly for mobile phones or specifically blackberries.
