ok i have tried loadin .160 in my curve and its not loadin it and it is emid or whatever not the m version. but i have followed directions on the forums to lad a new os and it just aint working i really wanna put bbm 5 on my phone and i have to have .136 or up and i cant put new os on PLEASE SOME ONE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Need more info, any error msgs.. whats all going on, are you deleting the vendor file? what version of DM are you using, I recommend using 4.5 or 4.6 DM... help us out here..

Back up your bb on whatever dm version you are using, then close the dm. Go to the os file you downloaded and delete the vendor.xml file then double click the loader.exe file and it should install(provided you downloaded the correct os for your device).

And what OS are you trying to install, what curve do you have, trying to install .160 yes? then you NEED to using a 8330...

What error msg is DM giving you, if at all.. be VERY specific..

im not having problems with the os, im havin issues getting bbm. I reloaded the os sytem on there and i still dont have bbm. any suggestions??

Open back up DM, app loader make sure there is a check in the BBM box..

Have you any other OS installed on your PC, if so, uninstall the one yu dont need.

If dm isn't recognizing a new os to install close the dm and reopen the os file, double click the loader.exe file and see if it loads.

I'm having the exact same issue!!! I had .160 on my last curve but can't seem to download to this one. I've tried everything mentioned above and probably some extra! Thought I was the only one with this problem

Did you go into c: Program files ; Common Files; Research in Motion; AppLoader; and Run Loader.exe ? You can't run the update from DM. It has to be update with that program.
