I have an 8310. Newest OS: v4.5.0.110 (At&t release). Upgraded tonight. Now, if I try to sync outlook 2003 the calendar doesn't read anything from the device. I have tried using DM 4.6 and 4.2, and have the same problem.
Any thoughts?

After you click the "Synchronize icon on the DM, go to the "Configure" tab and (I think) it's at the bottom there is a "setup" button - walk thru the process and make sure you are on "Two-way sync" between outlook and device
I've done all that....I'm sure it has something to do with the latest version of the firmware: OS: v4.5.0.110. I called AT&T and they had no idea what to do or suggest....very frustrating!
OK, as best I can figure out, the problem is that when you add things to the calendar, they get categorized by email address (and show up in different colors on the calendar). I have several accounts associated with my device. Only events associated with one of those addresses will be recognized when syncing. I don't think the option to associate events with email addresses existed in prior OS's (at least for BIS).
I don't use Outlook for email and only have the 2003 version. Maybe the newer ones are set up to recognize multiple email accounts like this? I don't know.
But, long story short, making sure I associate all my calendar entries with that one email address has solved the problem
