I'm new to the bb so I'm not sure but when I start up my phone I have some apps already loaded.

ICQ / AIM / Browser / SMS etc.

i'll switch to them, menu button > close, and it will still be there when i select switch applications. What's the problem, or is there no problem?

No problem. Some apps run all the time.

you can hide the icons for stuff you do not wanna uninstall as well........

This has happened to me... I noticed that you must go to the first screen of the app to close it.

What I mean by this is closing it out from the buddy list won't work. Hit the back key until you are at the first/primary page and then hit menu and the 'Close/Exit'

I had this issue with Telenav / Navigator on my berry. I had to go all the way to the beginning and then close it out.
