Problem with BIS
hey guys,
i think that this is my first post ever here, but you helped me a lot in other situations. right now i couldn't find any help so i'm posting myself and really hope that it isn't a common problem and that i'm in the right section.
i'll try to provide you with all information i know, so:
i've got a blackberry curve 8310 and it runs on the 4.5.0.188.
my problem is that it won't connect to BIS. it's a second hand device, i bought it from ebay and i would like to give it to a friend. he has BIS activated (we tried it on my 9900).
so the first thing i thought about was 'enterprise'. because the ex-owner could've use it with some enterprise server in his or her company, right? so i googled and came to the result that IT policies might be the problem. so i followed an instruction (for mac) and did some terminal commands including,
'cd /Applications/BlackBerry\ Desktop\ Software.app/Contents/MacOS/'
and:
'./bbdm resettofactory'
after that i wiped the device (options>security options>general settings>menu key>wipe) and it still won't work...
i also did the host routing table (options>HRT>menu key>register now) thingy and it also didn't work.
can you tell me what i'm doing/did wrong?
thank you so much in advance!
